Funnels
Updated October 18, 2026
A funnel is a sequence of steps, such as home → pricing → sign-up. Statsdot counts how many visitors reached each step after the previous one, and how many dropped off on the way.
Create a funnel
In the settings of the site, under Funnels, choose Add a funnel, give it a name and add 2 to 8 steps. Each step is either:
- a page visit, with an exact path such as
/pricing(without query string), or - an event, such as
Signup(see Events and goals).
Owners and managers create and delete funnels; everyone who sees the report sees them. A site can have up to 10 funnels.
Read a funnel
The report shows each step with its visitors, the share of the previous step and how many dropped off. At the bottom, the share of the visitors who started and completed the whole funnel. Date ranges and filters apply: filter by a source or a campaign to compare how each one converts.
Within one day
Steps must happen in order on the same day. Statsdot counts visitors with a code that changes every day, which is what lets it work without cookies, so a visitor who sees your pricing today and signs up tomorrow counts as two visitors. For most websites a decision takes one visit; for long sales cycles, read funnels as "same-visit" conversion.
Funnels are also available through the API and the MCP server.
