Filters and date ranges

Filters

Click any row of the dashboard (a page, a source, a country, an event...) to filter every number by it. Filters combine: Google visitors from Spain on mobile, for example. Remove a filter with the × on its chip.

A page filter counts only the hits on that page; every other filter keeps whole visits, so you see what visitors from a source did across the site.

Date ranges

• Today, 7 days, 30 days and 12 months.
• A custom range of whole days, up to two years, with the calendar button.
• Pinned periods: owners and managers can pin a custom range (a campaign, last season) with the pin button so it sits next to the other ranges for the whole team and on shared links.

Every number is compared with the previous period of the same length.

Days are UTC days. Visitors over a range are visitor-days: Statsdot counts a visitor once per day, because the code that identifies a visitor changes every day and nobody can be followed from one day to the next.
