Exclude your own visits

Your own browser

Open your site, open the browser console (F12) and run:

localStorage.statsdot_ignore = '1'

From then on that browser is not counted on that site. To count it again:

localStorage.removeItem('statsdot_ignore')

The setting is stored by your browser for that site only; Statsdot itself stores nothing on visitors' devices.

Test and staging environments

Add the snippet only in production. On Laravel wrap it in @production, on Next.js check process.env.NODE_ENV === 'production'. Visits from localhost are never sent.

WordPress administrators

The WordPress plugin does not count logged-in administrators by default.
