Statsdot or Plausible?

Where Plausible is ahead
Plausible has been around since 2019 and it shows. If you need funnels, revenue tracking for an online shop, Search Console keywords, a stats API, Looker Studio, team members with roles or an import of your Google Analytics history, Plausible has them and we do not yet. It is also open source, and you can run it on your own server.
Where Statsdot is a better fit
- You want to start for free. Our Free plan covers 10,000 pageviews a month for one site, with no time limit.
- You run several sites on a budget. Pro includes unlimited sites and 100,000 pageviews for 9 € a month, VAT included.
- Your team or your clients do not read English. The dashboard, emails and help pages are in six European languages.
- You want one screen. No settings to learn: filters, goals and campaigns work with a click.
Privacy: a tie
Both tools set no cookies, store nothing on the device and never keep IP addresses. Both rotate the key of the visitor code every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next. If privacy is the deciding factor, either one is a sound choice.
Questions
Is Statsdot a copy of Plausible?
Both follow the same idea, counting visitors with a daily rotating code instead of cookies, which is also how Fathom works. The dashboard, the plans and the code are our own.
Can I self-host Statsdot like Plausible Community Edition?
No. Statsdot is only available as a hosted service. If self-hosting is a must, Plausible Community Edition or Umami are good options.
