Statsdot or Fathom?
Updated October 13, 2026
Fathom is a polished, cookieless analytics service from Canada. It counts visitors with a daily rotating signature, much like Statsdot. The main differences are where the data lives and how much it costs to start.

Data location
Fathom routes EU traffic through servers in the EU that remove the IP address, then stores the anonymised data in the United States. That is a reasonable design, and Fathom explains it openly. If your clients or your policy require the data to stay in the EU from start to finish, Statsdot does that.
Price
For 100,000 pageviews a month, Statsdot Pro costs 9 € with VAT included and Fathom 15 $. Statsdot also has a free plan for small sites, while Fathom offers a 7-day trial that needs a card.
Where Fathom is ahead
Fathom has an API, ecommerce events with revenue, an importer for Google Analytics 4 history and years of track record. If you need those, it is a good choice.
