Statsdot or DataFast?

Updated October 18, 2026

DataFast, by Marc Lou, calls itself revenue-first analytics: it connects to your payment provider and tells you which channels bring paying customers. Statsdot focuses on simple, cookieless analytics. Their prices are close; their approach to privacy is not.

Where DataFast is ahead

  • Revenue attribution. If you sell online and want to know which channel brought the money, not just the visits, DataFast is built for that.
  • More features around growth: Search Console keywords, user identification, funnels across several days, social mentions, mobile apps and a CLI.
  • Longer history: three to five years of data.

Where Statsdot is a better fit

  • No cookies at all. Statsdot never stores anything on the visitor's device, so analytics is not a reason for a banner. With DataFast you choose between the default script with cookies and a cookieless mode with fewer features.
  • A lighter script: under 1 KB against about 5 KB.
  • Your language and currency. Six languages in the dashboard, emails and help, and prices in euros with VAT included.
  • One screen. Fewer features means less to learn: visitors, pages, sources, campaigns, events and goals, with filters on every row.

Privacy

Statsdot counts visitors with a code that changes every day and stores no IP address. DataFast's cookieless mode uses a similar daily rotating salt, but its default script identifies visitors with cookies so it can attribute revenue over time. If avoiding a banner matters more to you than long-range revenue attribution, Statsdot is the simpler choice.

Questions

Can Statsdot attribute revenue to my marketing channels like DataFast?

Not across days. Revenue attribution links a payment to the visit that brought the customer, often days earlier, which needs an identifier that lasts. Statsdot counts visitors with a code that changes every day, so it cannot. You can count purchases as events and goals and see which sources bring buyers within the same day.

Does DataFast work without cookies?

Its default script uses cookies; DataFast offers a separate cookieless script that you turn on in its settings, with fewer features such as no returning visitors or cross-domain linking.
