Install Statsdot on Squarespace

Updated October 16, 2026

Before you start

Code Injection is available on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and on some legacy plans. If you do not see it, check your plan.

Add the snippet

  1. In the Pages panel of your site, open Website Tools and then Code Injection.
  2. Paste your snippet in the Header field:
<script defer data-domain="yoursite.com" src="https://statsdot.com/js/script.js"></script>
  1. Save.

Squarespace adds the Header code to the <head> of every page. Use the domain your visitors see, without https:// or www.

Check that it works

The editor preview may run with scripts disabled. Open your live site in a private window and look at the dashboard: within a few seconds you appear among the visitors on the site right now.

What you will see

Pages, blog posts and products, where visitors come from, which campaigns bring them and how many reach the cart. Make the cart page a goal (/cart) in the site's Settings (the cog next to the dates) to see the share of visitors who open it.

What you will not see

Squarespace checkout pages do not run custom code, so Statsdot does not see the checkout steps. Use Squarespace's own reports for orders and Statsdot for traffic and the steps before checkout.
